Georgetown into the Future

The Georgetown Masterplan is an initiative by the local community, Council and the SA Government to develop a new vision for Georgetown. This vision responds directly to the social, environmental, cultural and economic needs to the Town. In order to deliver this vision, we want to generate ideas, comments and discussion about the Town......... This blog has been setup by WAX Design, URPS and Peter Bell to encourage the community to let us know what you think about your Town.

A Fantastic Start

Firstly, thank you for the fantastic support over the Anzac weekend. It was wonderful to talk to so many people about the future of Georgetown and development some amazing ideas and opportunities for the town. We are now working on developing those ideas and developing a new masterplan for Georgetown. The following are links to the PowerPoint (both high resolution and low resolution). Also, we have set some key topics to vote on in relation what was presented.

Hi all,
It's good to see something else on here. I'll have a look at the powerpoint presentation shortly (if it's possible....I don't actually have powerpoint on my computer).

I'd like to cast a vote with ALL of the suggestions as I think they ARE ALL GOOD and should be incorporated into the townscape. Please consider this comment when you're summising the results of the poll. Not sure which would have the greatest impact the quickest but street trees are best planted sooner than later as it'll only get better with growth & time.
