Below is a link to the final version of the Georgetown Urban Design Framework. From the Project Team a huge thank you. Without your help and input none of this would have been possible.

A Fantastic Start

Firstly, thank you for the fantastic support over the Anzac weekend. It was wonderful to talk to so many people about the future of Georgetown and development some amazing ideas and opportunities for the town. We are now working on developing those ideas and developing a new masterplan for Georgetown. The following are links to the PowerPoint (both high resolution and low resolution). The history of Georgetown

What ideas do you have to strengthen or represent the history of Georgetown.......places, buildings, stories and the people?

Supporting sport in Georgetown

What improvements can be made to the sporting facilities of Georgetown to maintain a strong community sports focus in the Town?

Main Street Traffic

How do we slow the traffic down through the Main Street and are there opportunities for new entrances, signage, landscape treatments or public art?

Keep the ideas coming

Dear All

Thank you for starting the conversation, please keep putting the word out about the Blog...we need everyone's ideas and comments (good and bad). As ideas are generated we will try and start listing some of the 'hot' topics so people can see common themes or issues.

Many Thanks Warwick (WAX Design)

Starting the Conversation

Dear All

This first posting is really to get things going......to ask you what you like about Georgetown. What are the important places, where would you take visitors to the Town, what works and what does not. Are there things that you like to do in Georgetown and what would you like to do.

We are looking for your ideas, how you see Georgetown and how it might change in the future....Georgetown into the Future.

Warwick, Nicole and Peter (Georgetown Masterplan Project Team)
